Sweet Briar students learn to think deeply and broadly about the impact of policies on people, markets, and institutions.

Increasingly, politics affects our daily lives. Our global world is becoming ever more interdependent and the issues that impact domestic and international affairs are complex. The study of political science helps students understand the complicated issues involved—both historically and today—and prepares them for graduate work and careers in politics and related fields.
